From drawing on my parents dining table with sharpies from creating exhibitions i have always has an ambition to create. I am an artist. At the core of my being I am an artist through and through and through My work I focus on the reality of the world that we live it and how cruel or kind it can be. I like to explore concepts such as being transgender in the modern world by using my own experience to influence my art work and how decay is found in every part of our life’s and that there is beauty in decay. I explore mediums such as acrylic paint with expressive and painterly style to create a surrealistic effect with my work. I also explore mediums such as Lino printing, sculpture and photography to capture the essence of my work.
My main inspiration to carry on my work is the social injustice that i see on a day-to-day basis. The world we live in is such a cruel one from the wars that humans have created to the point that some places in the world i would be cast out and stoned to death just for being who i am and how i react to this is why my art is so authentic. My art shows the truth and the anger that have inside of me and i show it in a way that it cannot be expressed in other way apart from showing it. The world we live is full of colour and life that i would be cruel to those who can’t express who they really are for the people who can express themselves in who they truly are to hide away their talents such as myself to hopefully create a better world.
Thought my work i always try and connect to nature as it what surrounds our world and coming from a very industrialise area of Preston it was hard to find the green in the grey and this is important to me as we should all respect nature as it is what brought us life.
